Avatar and Signature Rules (extract from Forum rules)

Now before you all start asking us what the rules are (or worse yet, doing crazy things) please be advised of the following restrictions:

Avatars:
* Dimensions: 80x80 pixels (no larger than 120x120)
* Size: keep under 15KiB

Signature Images:
* Dimensions: 500x120 pixels maximum size (that's 500 wide by 120 tall).
* Size: keep under 50KiB

These restrictions have been placed for 2 main reasons. Firstly, we'd like to keep most of the screen space for the actual posts so the height of signatures and avatars shouldn't take over the page. Secondly, not everyone is on superfast broadband and we want to keep the page loading times reasonable.

If your avatar or signature exceeds any of the above restrictions then it will be removed without prior warning. Repeat offenders may be suspended from the privilage of having an avatar or signature.
